:: FAQ
Is zirconia better than alumina for plungers?
For high-pressure metering plungers, yes — zirconia's fracture toughness (8–10 MPa·m½) roughly triples alumina's, surviving edge chipping and impact. Alumina wins on cost for low-stress insulation parts.
Can you make black or blue zirconia parts?
Yes. Colored zirconia runs in the same powder-to-part chain, commonly for consumer-facing or light-sensitive applications.
What surface finish can you achieve?
Ground and lapped sealing faces to Ra 0.02–0.05 μm; as-fired surfaces Ra 0.4–0.8 μm.
Do you accept small trial orders?
Yes — prototypes from 1 piece, no MOQ for sampling.
